The Food Break

As mentioned, during our walk we will be stopping for some snacks and drinks. The general menu is listed below, but we can cater to vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, sugar free and lactose intolerant diets as needed. Please note that the portions provided will be sample-sized, so we welcome you to bring your own packed if you would like to.

Standard Menu Example:

  • Homemade Dried Local Wild Game Meats

  • Local Suffolk Cheese

  • Local Homemade Bagels & Pickles

  • Organic Fair-Trade Tea

  • Organic Fair-Trade Coffee

  • Traditional Mead (for those who would like to sample some traditional alcohol)

  • Water

*Note: We can cater to any dietary restrictions you may have; please just make us aware of your requirements and any allergies 1 week in advance so that we have ample time to make the necessary preparations for you. We are always happy to personalize the food for any of our guests and want you to enjoy your experience as much as possible!

As part of the walking tour experience, everyone will partake in  foraging a few delights of the season which we will have the chance to taste and try during the picnic break as we reap our harvest. We will also be carrying with us a thermos of hot water in preparation for a freshly foraged tea. Please keep in mind that as the seasons change, so does the availability of certain edible plants and fruits.

In keeping with our values, all the food we will be providing will be ethically produced, locally sourced or grown, and as traditional as possible to compliment the experience. We are excited to showcase and share with you our personal selection of the artisan delicacies Suffolk has to offer! Any of the food items we have outsourced will be organic and fairly traded.
